JD Photo

JD Photo  is a website for photographers by photographers. There are a lot of excellent photography websites out there , some of which is a great inspiration for me as an amateur . The best one in South Africa is www.outdoorphoto.co.za . This website has no intention of being competition for these websites but only to present the photo gallery in a different manner.

Aim

   The aim of the gallery is to set it up the categories differently so that the images can be uploaded under the geographical area where the images were taken. Initially we will load the images under the headings of the different provinces, but will later move them to the different districts. The subcategory of the districts will only be created when there is at least 10 images from that districts. This will be a huge task seeing that there are 53 different districts in the 9 provinces.

Examples of images can be nature, people, buildings, land & seascapes etc. Some images will however not fall into any of these categories and different categories will be available for those images.

Purpose

The reason for doing it this way is to identify all the photographic hotspots but it’s also a good way to promote your area.

Registration

• Register with your real name. Only real life nicknames or shortnames allowed example Pottie instead of Potgieter or Elize instead of Elizabeth. If Allan Border want to register as AlanB then its ok. Use commonsense.
• Registration is once off and will work in all the modules
• Capitcha only first registration screen. Subsequent logon will be Capitcha Free. This is necessary to block spam bots

Uploading of Images

• Only registered users will be able to upload
• Image size max 750px in greatest measurement
• 240kb file size limit
• **Important** Tell us at least where this picture was taken
